Delta Zeta is a national sorority founded in 1902 at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Built on the values of friendship, community, generosity, curiosity, empowerment, and belonging, Delta Zeta creates a supportive community where members can thrive academically, socially, and professionally. With a mission to empower women and make a positive impact, Delta Zeta emphasizes leadership, philanthropy—particularly through its partnerships with organizations that support Hearing and Speech—and lifelong friendship. Delta Zeta offers a meaningful, lifelong sisterhood that extends well beyond college.

The Kappa Sigma Fraternity is committed to fostering a close cooperative partnership with all colleges and universities where its chapters exist. The Fraternity should promote academic achievement and assist each member to achieve his academic potential. By helping members adjust to the college environment, we can help them pursue their degree goals. Co-curricular activities can be as valuable as the classroom experience; hence, the Fraternity should promote involvement in all aspects of campus life.

Why Kappa Sigma? The Kappa Sigma Fraternity will better your college experience and opens the door for opportunities, unlike any other organization. We are the largest college fraternity in the world, and our network is scattered throughout North America. We have 305 active chapters and colonies, more than 17,000 undergraduate members, and at least 200,000 living alumni. We are a volunteer-driven organization, with each chapter having its own individual alumni support. Choosing Kappa Sigma is more than joining a fraternity; it is a life-changing decision that ultimately will better your life.

Sisterhood is the essence of all the wisdom of the ages, distilled into a single word. You cannot see sisterhood, neither can you hear it nor taste it. But you can feel it a hundred times a day. Panhellenic is derived from the Greek word meaning “All Greek”. In our Greek community, we have four panhellenic sororities here at Marshall University: Alpha Chi Omega, Alpha Xi Delta, Delta Zeta, and Sigma Sigma Sigma. We are a value-based organization where the members of our community strive to provide thousands of dollars in philanthropic support to chapter philanthropies and community resources in our area. From supporting victims of sexual assault, to leading bystander intervention programs, to fighting for body-positive campus cultures, we as sorority women are fighting to help battle and support those going through some of the most pressing challenged facing collegiate women today. The Circle of Sisterhood is the nationally recognized philanthropy of the National Panhellenic Conference. Their mission is to have sorority women raise funds to provide international resources that remove educational barriers for girls and women facing poverty and oppression.

In Panhellenic, we value the ideas of friendship, leadership, service, knowledge, integrity, and community. We strive for the sorority experience at Marshall University to be challenging, yet incredibly rewarding. Here, the women of our chapters and community will gain a support system of the whole Greek community, regardless of the letters they wear. We will push our women to find who they are throughout their educational journey, become strong independent philanthropic women, provide women with leadership skills, and make numerous friendships and professional connections. In this community, you will grow in several ways as a woman and become a strong educated daughter of Marshall.
